What are organizational cultures?
Culture can also be understood at the organizational level. Organizations, after all, are also complex social groups. Organizations, therefore, also have identifiable:
  1. Rituals
  1. Heroes
  1. Symbols
  1. Values
  1. Folklore (stories, jokes, legends, etc.).
  1. Norms

It's True! It's True! Heifetz, Grashow, and Linsky recommend that you observe the "Meeting Protocols" of an organization (p. 62). Why? What can you tell from observing a meeting?
Tip Tip Not all organizations have a culture, according to Edgar Schein (1986). Schein suggested that only organizations that share a significant history have a culture.
