Team Mission: Diagnose the Adaptive Challenge
Click on the link to find a page where I post student activities/exercises. Scroll down to find the "Archetypes" exercise. This is adapted from The Practice of Adaptive Leadership, page 74.

Your mission is to use the table provided as a checklist to decide whether the challenge you picked as a group constitutes an adaptive challenge or just a technical problem. The dark/bolded areas represent the 4 Adaptive Challenge Archetypes (p. 77).

You may send me your answers: - By hand, if you choose to meet and simply fill out the table. - As a paper, typed, by email - In paragraph form - for instance, a group could say: "We found that the following are present in our case: competing commitments, work avoidance, and "unspeakables." Then explain each one.

Tip: Look at the step by step instructions.
