Frequently, we attempt to solve problems by playing the "blame game." We like to assign blame to one single individual or group of individuals.
Likewise, people play the "hero game" - we attempt to solve complex problems by relying blindly on a "hero."
Think about the following questions:
Did George W. Bush cause the economic crisis?
- Can Barack Obama solve the economic crisis?
- Did Saddam Hussein cause terrorism?
- Can the Iraqi war stop terrorism?
- Did competition cause the problems at GM?
- Can protectionism restore GM?
- Can the flu virus cause someone to die?
- Can someone cure a drug addict by giving him/her addiction curing drugs?
